In-Field Testing

Our CERTIFIED auditors will perform In-field testing of your floor surfaces using the Regan Scientific Instruments portable digital BOT-3000E tribometer. This state-of-the-art technology measures the slip resistance potential of hard walkway surfaces. The BOT-3000E complies with ANSI/TCNA A137.1 and ANSI/TCNA A326.3 for Dynamic Coefficient of Friction measurements. The analytical data is provided in a secure report and can serve as scientific evidence, and will hold up in a court of law according to the Daubert Principle. Our auditors adhere to strict protocols and procedures to ensure accuracy and the integrity of the testing. This testing is performed in various environmental scenarios that include "as observed conditions" as well as "clean conditions". Tests are performed using the BOT-3000E tribometer with SBR rubber sensor using a 0.05% solution of SLS water according to the ANSI A137.1 and ANSI A326.3 standards.

In-Lab Testing

Optionally, Volunteer Non-slip Services, Inc. offers testing of floor products in our lab. This is particularly beneficial when there are multiple floor surfaces being considered for installation in a commercial or residential setting during the construction phase of the property. We often test these products using various formulations and exposure durations to determine which combination of the two yields the best overall result. We provide documentation on each of the test procedures and their results in written and digital report formats.
